Summary
Oallen Ford is a dog friendly, free, riverside camp ground. It is found after a 63km drive north of Braidwood, on Oallen Ford Road where it crosses the Shoalhaven River. There are no facilities are present at all and fireplaces are constructed by previous campers. Google Map.
Detailed Guide
Camping here is completely free and dogs are common with visitors and campers. The large camping area is mostly sandy with occasional spatterings of long grass. Down on the river shores the ground is all pebbles.
The campsite si directly off either side of Oallen Ford road and so accessible by any type of vehicle
Activities
Swimming is possible in the river, and gold panning is very popular in the area. 4wd roads are apparent all around the campsite, and obviously a lot of 4wding and dirt bike riding is done all around the campsite.
