Detailed Guide
Camping here is completely free and horses and dogs are common with visitors and campers. Typically, the rather large camping area has only a few people there, even during high seasons. The ground is mostly sandy with occasional spatterings of long grass and the better tent spaces are further back from the river on flatter smoother ground.
There is a large sandy area on the river bend which would be great for all sorts of sport activities and games, plus most of the river is quite shallow and safe for children.
The campground requires 2.4km of driving on a dirt road, but it is well maintained and should be accessible in any type of vehicle.
