A campground in the Wadbilliga National Park, Cascades Camping Ground is a remote campsite positioned alongside the top of the Tuross river, a short walking distance from 'The Cascades.' 4th January 2012 - Park Closure due to Fires
The Wadbilliga National Park website indicates that the park was closed due to recent fires on the 20th of December 2011, and remains closed until further notice.
Driving There
From Canberra, drive south towards Cooma on the Monara Highway. Exit just north of Cooma, turning left onto Polo Flat road, then left again after crossing the train line onto Cooma Numeralla Road. Follow this for about 40 minutes, then turn right onto Badja Forest Road which turns into a dirt road immediately after the turn off. From here, follow the signs to The Cascades - turn right onto Peters Road, then right onto Tuross Falls road. Follow Tuross Falls road to the end, where you can either go to the camp site or the parking area.

The dirt road in to the campgrounds is unsealed dirt and is usually passable by 2wd car, although it is generally recommended to take 4wds preferably, especially after wet periods. Carvans are also not recommended, although off road camping trailers are usually OK.

There are picnic tables, fireplaces with hot plates and non-flush toilets available. There is no rubbish disposal, showers or potable water onsite.

Car camping (~20 sites) on flat dirt ground. All camping is free.
Pets
No pets are allowed as this is within a National Park.
Features
Calm freshwater swimming hole very close to the campsite, short walk to The Cascades, Fishing nearby and lots of wildlife in a remote region.
